Looking for fiction books that take place in underground/subterranean environments *Ex Jeff Long's the Descent
Q. I got a huge huge hankering for books that feature a similair location (as in huge unexplored or abandoned) or story such as in the Descent. Any great or fun books that take place in some sort of caverns, sewers, mansions, buildings, ruins, crypts, etcetera? Exploration, horror, fantasy, science fiction any and all.

A. Just off the top of my head, co-authors Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child come to mind. They are probably best known for "The Relic", which was made into a film. Some of their novels are archelogical tales with a twist- try Thunderhead, Riptide or The Ice Limit. Their most popular character is Agent Pendergast, who winds up in a series of caverns in "Still Life With Crows" --you might like that, too.

good psychological thriller books?
Q. I have to read a science fiction/fantasy/horror book and I'm choosing horror. However, I don't want the blood or gory stuff. I want a thriller that makes you think about what's going on. But it HAS to be thriller and not suspense or mystery. Any suggestions?

A. My favorite book is by Dean Koontz,'From the corner of his eye'. You'll love it! It has some supernatural stuff in it that makes it fantasy, and some crazy stuff in it that makes it horror.
